Hello, Visitors Good News for you! After a long time, the government of Assam want to Conduct Assam TET 2019. Recently Assam Govt Published Advertisement on teacher eligibility test (tet) for lower primary & upper primary level -2019. so read this post maybe it will be helpful for you.

Assam TET 2019 Details:

Assam TET Exam Time Table 2019:

The Assam TET exam will be conducted in two-phase. Exam Duration will be 2 ½ hours (150 Minutes) for Paper-I and 2 ½ hours (150 Minutes) for Paper II

Assam TET Application modifications Updates:

Empowered Committee on Elementary TET, Government of Assam Published an official notice to all applicants of Assam TET 2019 on 17th September 2019., it is for the general information of all concerned that the following modifications
have been made given below.

  1. The period of submission of the on-line application of TET, Assam 2019 (Lower Primary and Upper Primary) only for the Physically Challenged candidates has been extended and such online applications will be received from 19th September 2019 to 27th September 2019. Physically Challenged candidates who had applied earlier may also edit their Application Form with the help of their Application Number and Password within the above mentioned period.
  2. For preliminary scrutiny before the issue of Admit Card for the Candidates who had submitted an online application as * pursuing professional course (B.Ed/D.El.Ed) will have to mandatorily upload the following details from 19th September 2019 to 27th September 2019. They have to upload/update their Application Form with the help of their Application Number and Password within the above mentioned period.
  • Date of Admission in professional course ( B.Ed/D.El.Ed)
  • Name of Institution where pursuing the professional course ( B.Ed/D.El.Ed)
  • Mode of professional course( B.Ed/D.El.Ed) : Regular or ODL
  • Image of self-attested Admission receipt with the seal of the Institution where pursuing the professional course ( B.Ed/D.El.Ed)

Important Link For Application modifications:

Note- * Pursuing professional Course means all those candidates who have submitted the application even though they have not acquired the B.Ed/D.El.Ed qualification. Candidates who do not upload the above information/documents within the stipulated period will be summarily rejected and their fee shall be refunded in due course.

Assam TET Eligibility Criteria 2019 :

The eligibility criteria of a candidate to appear in TET are as follows:

  1. Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
  2. Candidate must have a minimum academic and professional qualification as follows below mentions:

For Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V):

Interest candidates have Anyone Minimum Qualification  from below Mentions

  1. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known)
  2. Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  3. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  4. Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
  5. Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class
    I to V provided the person so appointed as the teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as the primary teacher.

A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.

Remark: Candidate those who were admitted in D.El.Ed program before 31st August 2009 please refer to Clause B under subheading Relaxation of official notification.

For Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII):

Interest candidates have Anyone Minimum Qualification from below Mentions.

  1. Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed).
  3. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
  4. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.
  5. Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed. (Special Education).

A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.

Remark: Candidate those who were admitted in 1-Year B.Ed. program before 31st August 2009 please refer to Clause C under subheading Relaxation of official notification.

Assam TET Relaxation:

The following relaxation will be applicable

  1. Relaxation up to 5 % in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH) to appear in TET (The degree of handicap in case of PH candidates should be minimum 40% and to be certified by the competent authority) both for Paper-I (LP Level) and Paper-II (UP Level).
  2. For Paper-I (LP Level) relaxation up to 5 % in HSSLC marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 2-Year D.El.Ed. before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified 2-Year D.El.Ed. subsequently.
  3. For Paper-II (UP Level) relaxation up to 5 % in Graduation marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 1-Year B.Ed. before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified 1-Year B.Ed. subsequently.
