Basic Eligibility Criteria for SOS Assam Admission (ASOS)

The official site states basic eligibility criteria for the aspirants who can apply for admission. Though the admission process is all set to be active in a few days, so there are some rules and regulations which are meant to be followed by the aspirants in order to take admission in the Assam State Open School (ASOS). Such mandatory criteria are as follows ——-

1. The Accredited Study Centre (ASC)’s Principal or we can say the Co-ordinator allows only those aspirants who have passed H.S.L.C or equivalent Examination from SEBA or another recognized Board under COBSE.

2. In addition to what has been said that a regular class 10th pass-out student may also can take admission into the course but they have to appear in the HSLC Level Examination for certification after completion of 2 years of passing 10th examination.

3. For this regular aspirants; learners maximum 2 additional subjects are allowed and alloted to study.

4. Further Transfer of Credit (T.O.C) is allowed only to this maximum 2 subjects offered by Assam State Open School (ASOS) course curriculum for those unsuccessful examiners or aspirants of HS Examination whom having 33% of marks in Theory and Practical, separately in case of subjects having Practical.

5. The aspirants will have to appear in the subject opted in the first H.S. Level Examination, then if the experience requires or desires they can change the subject by paying the said requisite fees which is mentioned below kindly check it out. After that, the aspirants have to pay the requisite amount of fee along with the prescribed Application. The aspirants applying for admission under the “Improvement Scheme” may take admission only in the subjects they have appeared earlier in the qualifying examination.

6. Now, for appearing under the “Improvement Scheme“, aspirants may reappear in the same subject only, and once chance is also given to the regular aspirants. Still, for admission in Improvement Scheme, the learner can take chance for a maximum of 9 times. And, the learner or the aspirants have to pay the necessary fees for Improvement Scheme at the time of the Examination.

7. Wherever, the Accredited Study Centres which have been permitted for AHSEC for Arts and Commerce Streams are not allowed to take admissions of the aspirants offering for the subjects of Science Stream particular subjects such as Physics Chemistry and Biology because practical laboratory practices are unavoidable for the subjects.

The fees structure is regulated by Assam State Open School (ASOS) which runs under AHSEC. The Government of Assam set up this fees structure. The above-mentioned fees are to be transferred from the account operated in the name of the Principal or we can say Coordinator of the apprehensive institution through NEFT/RTGS. Further, it is to be noted that Amounts transferred from the personal account of anyone else are bound not to be accepted or treated as credit into any account. So, the NEFT/RTGS receive to be uploaded along with the amount is to be entered in the required box within the specific time period.

Process after Completing SOS Assam Admission Online Form Fillup

After completion of the Online Admission Form fillup, the learner or aspirants now have to submit their downloaded Form, Statement along with the Photocopy of educational documents, Fees break-up, Subject Statement (for books) T.O.C form, Original NEFT/RTGS receipt to the Assam State Open School (ASOS) on or before 5th April 2024.
