ST Scholarship Assam 2023 Details
Govt. of India has released the official notification regarding the Pre-Matric (IX-X) and Post-Matric Scholarships for students of Assam belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) of Assam for the year 2023-2023. Candidates have to apply through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) www.scholarships.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria of ST Scholarship Assam
In this SC Scholarship Assam Scheme, two types of categories are eligible to submit their applications. These two categories are Pre-Matric and Post-Matric. For both categories, eligibility criteria are different. The category wise eligibility criteria details are as follows.
Pre-Matric Scholarship: Students who are studying in class 10th or below will come under this category. That is, students studying from class 1 to class 10 have to submit their application under the Pre-Matric Scholarship category.
Post-Matric Scholarship: Students who are studying 11th or above, have to apply under Post Matric Scholarship category. In other words, students who are studying in Higher Secondary, Graduation, Post-Graduation etc. have to apply under this category.
Annual Family Income: Candidates whose annual family income is less than 2.50 Lakh are eligible for this scholarship scheme.
Other Scholarship: He / she should not be getting any other Centrally-funded Pre Matric Scholarship. However benefit of National Means-cum- Merit scholarship scheme of D/o School Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development can be availed by the beneficiaries of Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students.
Aadhaar Enrolment: In pursuance to the provision of Section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act 2016, a student is required to furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar or undergo Aadhaar Authentication. If not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, student is required to make application for Aadhaar enrolment.
Student Category: She/ he should be a regular, full time student studying in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
Repeat/ Failing Student: Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, she / he would not get scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.
Note: Only those students who have an SC certificate are eligible for this scholarship scheme. Without a valid caste certificate, the application will be rejected.
