Pay Scale: (PB-2) Rs. 14000-60500/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6200/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules

Educational Qualification: Degree Examination in any discipline from a recognized university and Candidates from Commerce background with good knowledge of Accounts and Tally will be given preference.

Computer Proficiency: He/she must have a good working knowledge of office productivity software tools (independent) of any operating system i.e. MS Windows, Linux, Mac etc such as Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Presentation Graphics, Concept of Database, Internet & E-mail.

Employment Exchange Certificate: The candidate must have the Employment Exchange Registration Number for the state of Assam.

Nationality: Candidate must be citizens of India as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Selection process of Gauhati High Court JAA Recruitment

Stage 1: Written Examination (Objective type multiple choices) for 120 marks of 2 hours duration on OMR answer scripts testing the English Proficiency (20 marks), General Knowledge (10 marks), General Aptitude and Reasoning (20 marks), Domain knowledge i.e. relating to Accounting etc. (50 marks) as well as knowledge of Assamese language (20 marks). The Assamese language segment will be of qualifying nature and candidates securing at least 40% marks i.e. 8 out of 20 marks in the Assamese language segment shall be treated as qualified to appear in the Interview/Viva-voce.

Stage 2: Viva-voce/interview of 15 marks. Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates for 1 post) will be called to appear in the interview.

Final selection will be made on the basis of the grand total marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and Interview/Viva-Voce. Where more than one candidate, obtain same grand total marks, the candidate who obtains more marks in the written examination will get preference. Where the marks obtained by such candidates in the written examination are also same, then the candidate who is senior in age will get preference.
