No of Posts: 10 Posts (Ur: 04 Posts, EWS: 01 Post, OBC/MOBC: 03 Posts, SC: 01 Post & ST (P): 01 Post)

Educational Qualification: The candidate must need to be class 10th passed from a recognized Board/Council of Government of Assam along-with a valid professional Driving Licence preferably the LMV category.

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,200 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.

Age Limit: Candidate’s age must need to be between 18 years to 40 years as of 1st January of 2021.

Age Relaxation: Category wise age relaxation will be as below followed.

For the purpose of determining the age limit, the PNRD will accept only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate issued by a recognized education Board. No other documents relating to age such as horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporations, service records and the like will be accepted.

Selection Process of PNRD Assam Driver Recruitment

A candidate have to appear in the following examination for selection.

Phase-I: Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in the Written Test on Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals to be held at Dist. Head Quarter of Biswanath, Charaideo, Hojai, Majuli & South Salmara Dist. on the date to be notified later on. The Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals will be of 100 marks.

Phase-II: Against each vacancy four candidates will be short listed on the basis of the marks obtained in the Written Test on Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals. The short-listed candidates will have to appear along with all original testimonials in the Driving Skill Test to be held at Dist. Headquarter of Biswanath, Charaideo, Hojai, Majuli & South Salmara Dist. to be notified later on. The Driving Skill Test will be of 100 marks.
