TET Assam 2021 Details
Name of Exam: Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers Eligibility Test 2021
Exam Authority: Government of Assam
Duration of examination: 2 1/2 hours (150 Minutes) for Paper-I and 2 1/2 hours (150 Minutes) for Paper-II, Additional 20 minutes’ time (per hour) will be there for visually impaired candidates.
Minimum Marks for qualifying in TET: A candidate is required to score 60% i.e. 90 marks out of 150 to qualify for the Teachers’ Eligibility Test(TET). However. for SC/ST(P)&(H)/OBC/MOBC/PWD(PH) there will be a relaxation of 5%. Thus, for these candidates, qualifying marks will be 83 out of 150 i.e. 55%. There will be no negative marking.
Medium of question paper: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, English
Validity: The TET qualifying certificate for an appointment, unless otherwise notified by the appropriate Government, would remain valid for a lifetime from the date of issue of the certificate by the Empowered Committee, TET, Govt. of Assam.

Qualification for appearing TET Assam 2021
For Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V)
[1] Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
=>(OR) Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
=>(OR) Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
=>(OR) Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
=>(OR) Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as the teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as the primary teacher.
[2] However, a candidate who is pursuing and having Admit Card of final year examination of any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he/she can apply for an appointment only after acquiring all the required qualifications.
Remark: Candidate admitted into 2 years D.El.Ed program before 31st August 2009: Please refer to Clause B under the subheading Relaxation.
For Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII)
[1] Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
=>(OR) At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and B. Ed.
=>(OR) Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
=>(OR) Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.
=>(OR) Graduation with at least 50% marks and I-year B. Ed. (Special Education).
Note: Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or an equivalent course prior to the 29th July 2011.

Relaxation of TET Assam Recruitment 2021
The following relaxation will be applicable.
[1] Relaxation up to 05% in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ MOBC/PWD(PH) to appear in TET (The degree of handicap in case of PH candidates should be a minimum of 40% and to be certified by the competent authority) both for Paper-I (LP Level) and Paper-Il (UP Level).
[2] For Paper-I (LP Level) relaxation up to 5% in HSSLC marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 2-Year D.El.Ed before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009.NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified 2-Year D.El.Ed subsequently.
[3] For Paper-II (UP Level) relaxation up to 5% in Graduation marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in I-year B.Ed. before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009.NCTE (N&S) dated 31st August 2009 and qualified I-year B.Ed. subsequently.

TET Assam Examination Fees
The candidate has to pay the fee through online banking/credit card/ debit card etc. he/she can take a printout of the Online Application form. The fee once paid will not be refunded. Candidates who intend to appear in both the papers i.e. Paper I and Paper Il will have to pay the fee for both the papers separately and will have to submit an Online Application accordingly at one go.

TET Assam Online Apply Proccess
The candidates who will fulfil all the required eligibility criteria for the recruitment of Primary & Secondary Candidates fulfilling all the required eligibility criteria for recruitment of Primary and Secondary Teachers will be able to submit their online applications on the official application portal developed by the Education Department of Assam. ✅ Fill the Online Application Form carefully and upload scanned photograph and signature (Size of photograph and signature Should not be greater than 35KB, 30KB respectively. The photograph and signature should be either in ‘.jpeg’ or ‘.jpg’ format). If your Photo & Signature is not Identifiable then your Application Form will be Rejected.
